One-off emergency calls are fitted in around those routes as capacity allows. In a moderate event that often means same-day service. In a major regional storm it can mean a considerably longer wait, and we would rather tell you that plainly than take your call and leave you waiting without an answer.

During active winter storm events, yes. Crews run continuously through storms and dispatch is live, because that is when the work actually happens. Outside of active events we respond during normal business hours and handle urgent calls as they come in.
Yes, subject to availability. Contracted clients are on pre-planned routes and are serviced first, so during a major regional storm the wait for a non-contracted emergency call can be long. In smaller events we can usually get to you the same day.

It depends on the size of the event and where you are in the region. We give a realistic window rather than a number designed to make you feel better. During a major storm, contracted routes are running and a non-contracted call may wait several hours or longer.
Yes, and it is one of the more common reasons properties contact us in January. We will need a quick site walk to understand the property before we take it on, but mid-season transitions are routine and we would rather you switch than spend the rest of the winter uncovered.
